There was a movie that I really liked when I was growing up, called Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace (Or Job's War, if your in the colonizers) And the introduction to the protagonist shows him as a member of of a group of kids on the street. Their parents weren't ever in the picture, so. it was easy to seem them as street orphans, scrambling and scrounging to get their next few hours of fun in VR.

I always liked that. No parents, but finding a family that sticks together.

The kids who are growing up now, current middle schoolers and high schoolers, are going to make society on this planet very, very interesting in about 10 years. They've been immersed in a much more connected, concious, and aware sort of environment than I feel I did when I was their age. They live in world where access to a massive range of information is a fact, not something they watched get switched on. So they're going to learn from a much younger age how shitty the world can be. and thus have more time to figure out if they care if it affects them, and what they want to do about it if it does.

I'm sure there's at least 2-5 papers or studies some science/college person can get out of studying that.

So much unmotivation at work today. Queue is over 100 tickets. So hard to slog through and there is something about this location and how the systems have been changed for the worse makes it ever more tedius to resolve them. lots of extra undocumented steps that didn't need to be performed a month ago. This sucks so much and is making it really hard to feel like I want to keep working here.

I might want to start looking for my next move sooner rather than later.

These are some monster wicked looking shoes. The really suggest a certain kind of environment to me that I've really kind of always had a thing for. Kind of like Post-society urban scavenging type future rebellious teens with Xtreme attidudes 5-Mx band kind of look.
