So, for those who didn't know: A high school in New Jersey, USA, adapted Ridley Scott's Alien (the first one) for their school play. They did this on the arts budget of an American high school. And somehow, lawyers and bean-counters managed to stay out of it long enough for the play to actually be performed, and for Scott to catch wind of it.

He gave the school $5,000 USD to fund an encore performance.

For the encore, Sigourney Fucking Weaver shows up and watches.

Now the whole play has been posted to Youtube, for free.

@orrery Granted, valid, and agreed with. I definitely wasn't trying to say Endgame was flawless.

@orrery I thought the support group scene was pretty unsatisfying tokenism. And it didn't make it better when I learned that he was played by one of the directors.

And I totally agree in thinking that Carol should've been wearing Infinity Gauntlet v2 when she beat Thanos' ass.

But honestly, it was really satisfying getting the full "Avengers, Assemble" line after getting blue-balled for for 4 years from Age of Ultron.

@Doephin My PCP was reluctant to move me even to pills and even more so for injections. She feels I've got higher complication factors, and I trust her judgement. I was on patches, but they were severely messing up my skin and not putting my numbers in the correct range, even at double patches twice a week.

Yeah, definitely missed a med dose last night. But I took mine this morning, So as long as I remember tonight, I should be okay tomorrow.

It would be so nice if I could miss a dosing and not spiral into a testosterone fueled self-reinforcing spiral. Does anyone else get that?

In making the previous post, I forgot to include what inspired the mildly incoherent statement:

There are a lot of cool sounding instrutments in this video! And, considering the 30s was depression era, IIRC, it makes sense to me that a lot of them look home built or improvised.

Music is such an innate desire of humans. We have such a drive to create and share music. Every instrument created came from a desire for expressing something that couldn't be done yet. So a way of making it had to be /made!/

This is why i have such respect for artists and creators and engineers, and builders. Because its a way of leaving an unmistakable artifact in the universe that you were a part of it.
