Everyone plays Minecraft survival but why does no one play Minecraft deathvival where you need to finish the game but die as much as possible at the same time.

On this, the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, enjoy this track (one of my faves) that puts music to voice recordings from the moon landing! youtube.com/watch?v=BHIo6qwJar

Star Trek @ SDCC (trailer spoilers)

Short Treks season 2: Ooo, more Enterprise crew stuff—and H. Jon Benjamin shouting about tribbles. That's neat.

Lower Decks: Wow this animated adult comedy looks exactly like every other animated adult comedy. Quelle surprise.

Picard: Holy shit! Borgs! Seven of Nine! Data! Aaaaaaaaaaaaa!

(I know we've actually done plenty I'm just annoyed at how governments just stopped trying so hard once that one thing got done.)

Fifty years ago today did man first set foot on the moon, and in all that time we've done bugger all since.

I mean, that's basically just all of the Brexiteer complaints in a nutshell.

People who complain about environmental protestors remind me of that guy who sued Mr Incredible in the Incredibles.

re: UK politics, Extinction Rebellion

The funny thing is, for all the people complaining about it, is that this isn't even particularly new for Bristol.

A few years ago we had a recurring event called Make Sundays Special, where most of the city centre would just be closed to traffic, the space given over to deckchairs and games and a giant water slide once—and it was frickin' awesome.

UK politics, Extinction Rebellion

Onto day three of XR's occupation of Bristol and it's actually really swell.

Traffic isn't really any worse than normal. Large areas of the city centre are devoid of traffic and much more pedestrian friendly. I've seen way more cyclists about, and my commute actually takes less time because roads aren't an obstacle anymore.

The actual occupation site is like a chill festival. There's information tents, live music, children playing in the streets, small wares and what I think was a clothes swap. And incredibly tidy too. It's really an ocean of calm surrounded by chaos.

Overall, I kinda prefer it this way.

@casta That’s only really killed off Steam for me (which has apparently had a 64-bit beta version in the works for like 18 months), I more just mean that some third party apps just bug out randomly when I’m trying to use them. Won’t register clicks, the odd random crash, the like.

I installed me some macOS Catalina beta (on my main computer, no less) and—though there's some annoying little bugs—the only real problems I've had have been with third-party app incompatibility.

@may It's more about how well you sleep than how much.

As someone who has recently stopped using Facebook, it’s cray just how much of a walled garden Facebook is. There’s virtually nothing you can see on it without logging into an account first.

I need to fix up the time formatting on the Mastodon integration something fierce.

I went away, ate dinner, came back, realised a super easy way to test this stuff without spamming people’s timelines AND fixed my problem in less than five minutes.

Sometimes y’all just need to take a break, folks.

Why must you do this to me @Gargron.

(I know why this is the case, but it sure doesn’t make my life any easier.)
