These ones are so elaborate though. Like the bog standard ones I’ve eaten look more like this. :P

Oh shit, a cake from Sarawak. I might’ve actually eaten this before!

an ode to men’s public toilets

I do not want your pubic hair
I do not want it over there
I do not want it under foot
I do not want it on my butt

And if you sprinkle when you pee
Be not content to let it be
Cause some of us would like to sit
So be an adult and clean up your shit

We have determined that my soul-nemesis must be Joaquin Phoenix because his first name is almost Kim and his last name is also a mythical flying animal.

OK KO's already ended, MLP:FiM ends next week, Steven Universe has one more season to go... I'm gonna need to find another cartoon show to spontaneously obsess over.

DuckTales? 🤔

Show thread

Well, I’m now all caught up on the ponyshow. Only the final three episodes to go.

It’s been a fun ride.

On this day in 1957, Sputnik 1 was launched from (what is now) the Baikonur Cosmodrome, kickstarting the Space Race. youtube.com/watch?v=It42TsD7_s

I occasionally add and remove songs from a Spotify playlist of stuff I'm digging right now and hey you might like it too. open.spotify.com/playlist/61OQ

I just had two consecutive television adverts that both used airy female vocalists covering the song Pure Imagination. Jeez, marketing.

They're making a live action/CGI hybrid Rugrats movie...?

But why????

London trip overview:
* Hostel was well located, very tall.
* The weather gods are assholes.
* Hamilton is a very good musical.
* Leicester Square is a circle and I hate this.
* @BlackRosettes@snouts.online fed me some frickin' good ramen.
* Ow, my feet.
* Ow, my wallet.

It’s circular. 0/10 (@ Leicester Square in London, Greater London) swarmapp.com/c/azpKk8TT13M

I’m in London watching that there Hamilton musical and it’s pretty bloody good, innit?

I personally was always well into Farfetch'd (hell, might be my favourite non-bat Pokémon) so I'm quite happy that they made another one.

♫ Everybody knows it hurts to grow up, and everybody does.

Steven Universe: The Movie spoilers, complaining, pondering

One thing that I've just not really grokked about the movie is how they get Pearl's memories back. Like, most people seem to think that Greg fusing is analogous to Rose dying, but eeeehhhh...

Greg not being present for like three minutes is not the same thing as death. Pearl wasn’t in love with Greg like she was with Rose. Reset Pearl knows what fusion is. It doesn’t add up to me that this one event alone would somehow constitute every significant point of her past and bring back her memories.

Personally I’d like to have seen Mystery Girl make an appearance at the gig. Pearl remembers her infatuation (maybe still even has the phone number in her gem), Mystery Girl inspires her to calm down, loosen up a little, maybe break some rules. Pearl gets to re-experience love and rebellion before maybe experiencing loss by some other fashion.

I probably played Sim City 3000 and Sim City 4 for hundreds or thousands of hours back in the day but I just can’t seem to get that into them nowadays. I’m too used to having splines and nice things nowadays.

“Everybody loves Frogger.” is a hella presumptuous opening line.
