Choices and Consequences
@KoBunny *offers all the hugs, and a doughnut*
So...
@drwho Hein?
@cat ""Better than """ is my new gold standard for code reviews.
Shit th' buni says
@adeptomega @KawaSeadrake @CoronaCoreanici But only he can know exactly how much pain he'll feel when he hits the ground.
@cat Better than "
Shit th' buni says
@CoronaCoreanici @KawaSeadrake @adeptomega I keep wondering why she thinks she needs me to teach her about magic; she knows -- understands -- far more than I could I hope to share. *smiles* And I'm incredibly proud of her.
Shit th' buni says
@CoronaCoreanici @KawaSeadrake @adeptomega This is the curse of my brand of absurdism. I literally can't tell somebody "that isn't significant." It could be. I can't tell. It might be to them. The best I can say is that it isn't significant to me, but I can't tell someone else what and how to determine "what is important."
Shit th' buni says
@adeptomega @KawaSeadrake @CoronaCoreanici This, too, is a valuable approach. I don't gain value from knowledge in the abstract -- as I said, wonder isn't meaning for me -- but I do value how knowledge fuels my sense of meaning. And meaning alone is... well, it's empty absent something to hang it off of. There's nothing stopping someone from attaching significance to anything, or everything. Meaning isn't wonder, either.
@irisjaycomics Blushing Bara Big Rigs.
Shit th' buni says
@CoronaCoreanici @KawaSeadrake @adeptomega I hope Im not covneying that they're antithetical. If I have then I need to deeply review and reconsider my word choice.
Im trying to say that they're both important, but they serve different roles, and neither can be used as a substitute for the other.
@kaniini@pleroma.dereferenced.org You clearly don't find it "strange." If you found it strange, you'd frame it as a question; you're erudite enough to know the difference in tone between asking why something is and insinuating that you know why something is and it's different from the stated reasons. Your language connotes that you find it distasteful, not odd, and you're framing your statement as a dig against Mastodon, then calling back to mock innocence when called on it.
Just sayin'.
@irisjaycomics Cars with tongues are a true horror, not gonna lie. Especially when you consider eroticism in the Cars universe.
@irisjaycomics I've largely resolved the caste system's issues by assuming the pegasi use magic to fly and Earth ponies have more druidic forms of magic (natural philosophy), but there's still a ton of fridge horror to resolve when trying to write in setting.
