@Elizafox I've been thinking a lot about this one, and it's messy. No True Scotsman is no substitute for confronting assholes and abusers, but cutting off assholes and abusers can't stop them from co-opting labels or other signifiers. Telling people "This isn't who we are" can't be the only response, but it has to be part of the response, lest the label itself become corrupt by those who would misbehave in its name.

Today's progress: Got rid of the nasty carpet roll in the garage, moved the contents of the wire shelving to start a pantry. Made deli sandwiches for dinner. If I can replicate that every week until Bandaza, I'll have the garage prepped.
