@Doephin It just makes so much more sense. The culture of American police is to value their life above all others as first priority and to de-escalate as a secondary action. If their first response to danger wasn't to grab a tool specifically designed to kill people, maybe they wouldn't... y'know.. kill so many people?

@vahnj Yeah. It was a shitshow for sure.
That was ~12 years ago and they're a lot better now than they were then, but they're still a bunch of greedy and aggressive capitalist fuckweasels and are near the top of my list of companies to slam against the wall when the revolution comes

They then held my money for 6 months, and auto approved every buyer complaint, to the point at which they actually reversed a payment I made to a seller *pulling the money from his bank account without his consent* to put it in my locked account just to cover the auto approved buyer complaints.
When I called Paypal support they literally hung up on me as soon as they looked up my account. Not even a word, just *click.*

They actually banned me for life from their service-- long story, but I didn't violate any of their terms of service in any way, they just assumed I was associated with someone shady and banned me for life without option to appeal

Politics in General, a reflection
@MadestMadness It's a move based literally on the advantages of bullying: it garners support from bigots who just want to see us get oppressed either because they think we deserve it or because they're afraid of us (usually as a result of their own repressed feelings).
It's a power move made simply because they had the power to abuse and an excuse that seemed valid enough to use.
Politics in General, a reflection
In public school we called them bullies.
In college we called them assholes.
In politics we call them Republicans.
