@Fuego Fuck. That. Noise.

This stuff makes me so angry, and there's so damned much of it out there. AUGH.

This is a hurricane evacuation map for where I used to live.
What amazes me is how little people where I live now know about the work that goes into these.
Planning where people can go, how well people can get there, and whether it's just minimal safety, or enough to put up with the entire storm.
I don't envy Florida right now, but I feel for them and remind them: Unscented bleach is essential for after-storm water care if boil orders go into effect.

@vahnj @yatchi I made a bunch of stickers of that doodle and I'm slowly plastering them all over Seattle. Wanna help?

PSA: If you see police doing something that's not really OK, take a video of it and share it as far and wide as you can. It's the best thing we as individuals can do to keep police accountable for their actions.

Complaining about badly designed government systems

@thefishcrow @vahnj (destroy capitalism)

@Soreth Yup! But only twice a month on days you specify. If you run out of funds before those days come up, your account zeros out and they bill you by mail as though you didn't have an account.

@vahnj Yay internet nosebumps :D *nosebumps keyboard back* tg (the nosebump)

@Draekos *squeezes softly on and pets softly, beaming*

GoodToGo is a toll system used by Washington -- kinda like EasyPass.

It has a web system that lets you manage your account, including adding funds automatically at specified times of the month.

If your balance reaches 0, their system automatically:
• Flags your account
• Emails AND Calls you to notify you of this
• Bills you at an inflated rate ($2/toll extra!!)

It cannot automatically:
• Add funds to fix the problem

*incoherent screaming*

@literorrery There was clearly an event that happened here but I think some of the details may have gotten mangled by translation to text?

@Fuego @jk OK fair enough

I just wish it didn't result in landfills packed full of phones made useless by mandatory security updates.

Security is important, but moreso is having air we can breathe and phones that poor people can afford to own without having to replace them every year or two, y'know?

Aaaugh. I'm just hella salty today; please feel free ignore
