So we were playing Mr. Card Game, the Kingdom of Loathing card game last night thanks to @Soreth bringing it over, and it made me want to try the original game again for the first time in like 15 years.

I just became a bugbear plush. I think I can consider that a win condition. :D

Fuck depression.

Fuck depression for ruining the lives of wonderful people in times of stress.

Fuck depression for leaving scars both mental and physical on so many.

Fuck depression for taking the lives of so many good people before their time.

But most of all? Fuck society for viewing depression as laziness.
For seeing suicide as intentionally selfish.
For voicing thousands of reasons to hate the depressed and berating those who love and care for them.

I love that on Mastodon, despite having half the follower count, I'm 10 times more active here than I ever was on Twitter because on the whole, people here seem to care more about community and conversation than they do about self promotion.

I have conversations with people on Mastodon, but if I wanted to talk to my friends on Twitter, it involved asking them for alternate contact info.

Calling into work: Too soft and gay to submit myself to capitalism today. Prescribing myself time with friends and loved ones and making at least one (1) art

I have been included on an email thread in which a marketing manager is repeatedly requesting last minute changes to a web form someone else is creating.

Every last minute feature request reads like a half drunken stranger leaning in to suggest terrible ideas, just with a bit more eloquence -- and includes buzzwords like whoa

I just got out of a meeting that might as well have been sitting in a dark room listening to a lightly encrypted number station for all the good it did. It sounded like the presenters were underwater, and I could barely make out a word any of them said. X3

I am unreasonably proud of this.

There are 3 types of release ready

1) It works well, is efficient, passes rigorous QA and is ready for production

2) It works and you're proud enough of your implementation to offer to share it with other coders

3) Other coders have expressed interest in using your code and thus it must be rewritten from the ground up to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
