@Felthry it's a term from computer graphics
For historical reasons, some video games used collision detection optimizations with identical logic and hardware acceleration as the occlusion test. As a result, non-specialists have incorrectly used the term "clip" (and its antonym "noclipping") to refer to collision detection.

@Nine *BDG voice* TERRRYYYYYY
@Nine they don't even have Lickitung all the good ones are missing
re: Best JRPG series?
@Felthry they technically exist in the same universe, but they're continuations of some joke ending
afaik the games are supposed to stand for themselves anyways
re: Best JRPG series?
@Felthry I've only played NieR: Automata which I greatly enjoyed, and the beginning of NieR. Especially the older games have some serious problems (predominantly framerate and to a lesser extent, pacing) but yeah I'd totally recommend it. Yoko Taro's approach to game design is one I enjoy a lot, I'm just not an RPG person :D
re: Best JRPG series?
@Felthry brb increasing the poll limit so Drakengard can fit onto this list :P
lyrics
For my own part, I have never had a thought
Which I could not set down in words
With even more distinctness than that with which I conceived it.
There is, however, a class of fancies of exquisite delicacy
Which are not thoughts
And to which as yet I have found it absolutely impossible
To adapt to language
These fancies arise in the soul, alas, how rarely
Only at epochs of most intense tranquillity
When the bodily and mental health are in perfection.
And at those weird points of time
Where the confines of the waking world
Blend with the world of dreams
And so I captured this fancy,
Where all that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.
@zoe oooh
@tom insecure borger
you're gonna get hecked because of this borger
@BigBeanKitten@chitter.xyz they made a remake that could seamlessly switch between the N64 textures and the remade ones and then they just scrapped it https://youtu.be/RRRuhviJGMQ
If you wanna play it today you can emulate it to get more fps and there's even some way to add keyboard and mouse controls to it
@nursemchurt you should check out Outer Wilds if you haven't!
@InspectorCaracal@tootplanet.space this also exists but it's more technical https://activitypub.rocks/implementation-report/
