@onfy not with that attitude
you can totally drive (some) LCDs at that speed though
@pup_hime just chomp at it I guess
if your teeth are sensitive to cold you're shit out of luck I guess
starting to realize that a large part of software development is complaining about tooling, the language or the compiler
I wish there was a way to know why this RFC didn't get accepted, it's annoying to have a ton of functions just return "array" and having to work around it with docblocks https://wiki.php.net/rfc/arrayof
@Siph Infinite Lives doesn't seem like a glitch to me, it's using only intended mechanics (shell bounce and jumping on a shell)
happy to inform you that https://unicodesnowmanforyou.com still exists
@Tanuki yeah though text rendering won't look super smooth like on a grayscale calendar, for instance. Mine's showing a Home Assistant dashboard
@Tanuki the technology can do shading already but I assume the driver for that would be a lot more expensive so they didn't go for that
@Tanuki no ready-made solutions yet though afaik. This kind of eInk has like 20-30s refresh times so it's not useable for say, an eReader
@Tanuki well, I'm running one of these but it really can only do 7 colors, so not everything will look good on it and it'll usually have a lot of dithering. But if you're okay with that you only need a Raspberry Pi Zero and Pimoroni's Python library to make it display images https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/inky-dev?variant=39685444960339
