@maia at least you don't have to endure the logo change
@ff0000 that's smart, basically a floater but without the complicated mechanical connection. I don't think this one does that, the tank sits on top of the machine and is transparent
@ff0000 it's also not my machine, just the one I use at work ^^
@ff0000 just one of those spring-loaded valves many coffee machines have these days
@ff0000 definitely no floater, the tank is removable
@ff0000 I wonder how it measures the level, probably pressure? Maybe there's limescale somewhere
good news is that the cup had enough space left for what the machine considers a cup so I just ended up with a bit of bonus coffee

re: twitter
@KS I'm gonna bet it's still obvious in the API
@DylanTheThomas @mcc playing large gifs absolutely wreck performance in browsers bc it's not hardware accelerated
re: weird food regulations (us)
@tebicat@tech.lgbt it looks like this, the parts at the bottom split apart when you unscrew it but stay attached to the cap https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/Screw_cap_juice_bottle.jpg
@tootapp yeah maybe I should do that sometime. it's been a while since I last had to do that (something got messed up with the iOS 16 update)
@tootapp hm yeah idk then… it's just my iPad so it's not that big of a deal to me
@tootapp I don't think it's out of the ordinary? I assumed you hadn't really thought about it since the workflow is kinda weird, having to add the same server twice
