@zerofox look up what your rights are, I think overbooking entitles you do a decent payout

@relee yeah, I actually calculated it in WolframAlpha to make sure I got the units right

@porsupah never mind, I completely misremembered, they totally gave me one, it's just USB-C

I hoard the lil 1A USB-A ones

re: computing purchase

@porsupah pretty sure my mini came without one which is kind of a shame because apple usb power supplies are very nice

re: computing purchase

@porsupah iPad pros still come with power supplies?

lmao I fired up FFXIV and the beginning of the endwalker logo sequence made me think I accidentally launched Starfield

Ich habe das Spiel „Half-Earth Socialism“ rezensiert. Darin soll eins die Weltwirtschaft nach der ökosozialistischen Revolution planen und die Klimakrise bewältigen:

@trysdyn wow, here you usually just have to plug the thing in and it'll be configured by the network, they're totally just making it complicated on purpose to force people onto their shitty app

@cinnamon I should maybe check out Elite lol

honestly the thing I miss most is NMS's seamless planet/space transitions

@relee each Snarm takes ~2% CPU so with a generous 4% overhead we can run 48 Fnarkes per 1 Farstield (no way I'm getting two of them to run on here)

it's really Skyrim in Space

the character creator is cool at least, thought I would've thought that in 2023 AAA devs could figure out how to make an interface that isn't annoying as heck to use with a mouse

@cinnamon it makes me wanna play No Man's Sky again, which I played for a few hours right after release and have a lot of thoughts about, like, NMS's planets were actually fun to roam around even though there wasn't really anything there, Starfield's planets feel barren in comparison

also it has multi-second loading freezes playing from a hard drive which is just grand because… it doesn't look good enough to warrant that lol
