@foone @whitequark microsd cards already get very hot so
re: cables are annoying
@knittenkitten no you see my gold-plated ethernet cables give me superior sound quality
@LANthus good luck! minis are cool
@LANthus ah okay, makes sense
there's people who do 3D commissions but idk what that kinda stuff would cost, probably not that cheap
@LANthus you could use that one mini creator software everyone uses and get it resin printed
@elilla in case you haven't seen it, here's a translator talking about how dragona is referred to in chapter 1 https://www.tumblr.com/ilovejosukehigashikata/709432617655779328/talking-about-dragonas-pronouns
@balrogboogie yup! and pluie is the rain
also I just realized "umbrella" comes from "umbra" meaning shade :D
@balrogboogie the French have the good old parapluie/parasol that many languages have adopted (at least parasol)
@NoraReed just check flightradar24
Separate Ways looks like a substantial amount of story being added to RE4 remake with all the setpieces they couldn't fit into the main story, I am super here for this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHCK6Cbn3UM
@halcy @WAHa_06x36 I've had tomato soup with noodles from a machine once, it was pretty decent instant soup and great on a cold winter day
@pup_hime yeah but all those features are optional joke additions on top of what looks like a solid weather app, so
@pup_hime Carrot is the one that's like, roleplaying as a malevolent AI, right?
@pup_hime I assume to add to the creepiness? that's that app's whole deal
the "own voice" thing is pretty cool though, it's meant for people who will lose their voice in the foreseeable future
@BPStuart I use Tusky and Toot! respectively
@halcy crime is a social construct
re: request for info from people who live in or have visited Gemany (boosts appreciated)
@balrogboogie like, anywhere in Germany? I'm a big fan of Landschaftspark in Duisburg that is just a really cool way to experience the history of the Ruhr area (and there's slides and stuff!)
If y'all like to bike, renting some bikes is always a great idea, whether you follow a river or an old train route (link in German, sorry, but I think you can get the idea)
There's also a ton of cool science(?) museums for kids, even one with the Maus (the orange mouse who teaches German kids stuff on public access tv), but I think there might be a language barrier there
