@mcc YEAH!
@misnina I mostly use rss to keep up with webcomics, I self-host freshrss now (syncing to reeder on ios, it's absolutely worth the money) but I used to use feedly after google reader shut down and only stopped because they made some questionable choices publicity-wise. https://www.theoldreader.com is another free cloud-based reader that syncs with a bunch of apps and has a pretty generous free option
@00dani desktop shortcut? you mean the clutter in front of my wallpaper I turn off the first chance I get?
@Natanox they're selling a good product, no doubt (whether it's worth the money I will leave as an excercise to the reader), but their "no emulation" slogan is just marketing and every journalist is just parroting it
@mxdragon the same person who misaligned one of the controller ports, I'm guessing
@Natanox how is that different from low-level software emulation
@Natanox it's still emulation when the emulator runs on an FPGA. FPGAs aren't magic chip replication machines
it just looks wrong
also they're still claiming "no emulation" which is even more ridiculous when they're upping the render resolution to 4K
@clarfonthey haven't xboxes always been kind of just a pc? everyone else doing it now is the new thing
@clarfonthey now that I think of it, getting a wire to glow white without immediately combusting isn't that easy either so I think it balances out
I wonder where arc lamps fit in this, they're kind of the "fuck it we ball" of lighting technologies
@clarfonthey pretty sure LEDs, being semiconductors, are also quite finicky
@ChocoMintPuppy took apple 18 versions to add a calculator to the iPad, huh
