@Siph docker is fine tbh, I use it extensively for work and all the stuff I self-host on my home server runs in docker on truenas. it has its pitfalls, especially on not-Linux but I don't wanna figure out VMs either lol

Signalis is so far an excellent survival horror experience but god those enemies hit hard and fast and most healing items heal next to nothing, I get tempted to just reload instead of toughing it out which imo would be the better survival horror experience
