my solution seems to be hitting some limitation in PHP's regex implementation but since I only need the number of matches I just pasted it in https://regex101.com and got the number from there lol

I just completed "Monster Messages" - Day 19: Part 1 was pretty straightforward but Part 2 took me some time, and also [part 2 spoiler, continued in reply] #AdventOfCode https://adventofcode.com/2020/day/19

@socks yeah I've just been translating the rules to regexes so I'm definitely cheating

@socks it's just so unelegant to hack in exceptions for the new rules, I hate it
