oh, the timer section of the Google clock app was redesigned to show more than one timer at a time, it's so much less annoying now

@trwnh idk I find the apple watch's design ugly and boring. A watch is a fashion accessory as much as it's a tool. I'm not reading paragraphs of text on my wrist, I'm looking at the time, the weather, a quick notification

@trwnh just wear os. Xiaomi and Oppo have made square ones but I'd wait for someone to make one with Wear OS 3, it's a huge improvement

also I got this watch specifically because it was round, because watches should be round because it doesn't look like a computer on my wrist and I'm not actually using it for web browsing so it doesn't matter

this is more usable than I expected tbh

the screenshot is less impressive cuz it doesn't have the round cutout

@monorail or maybe they sped something up in the game logic, but 3 frames "on average" is a lot

@monorail maybe they wanted to be safe for launch but now decided that yeah actually their servers and people's connections can totally handle 60Hz

not that it's safe to poke at a battery, it's very much not, keep any sharp and/or metal tools away from them, or just stay away from them in general, that's always good advice

it's always hilarious when youtubers puncture a battery on purpose and can't get them to catch on fire bc they make them with safety features now

apple could've made the new baseline iPad (and especially the keyboard attachment) relatively cheap and probably seriously threatened the Chromebook in the educational market but instead they made it so expensive it doesn't really have a market
