@mcc not an expert on paint or anything but it looks like she cut the squares into the paint with a painter's knife
@mcc afaik HDR is all software (it just composites multiple images taken at different exposures), though ig the camera has to be fast enough for it to work

@Eramdam@octodon.social p sure only allowing some ips through is a setting in most vpns so I'd be very suprised if tailscale didn't have it
@derwinmcgeary@octodon.social I'd recommend a used thinkpad, ebay should have plenty of very lightly used old business stock and they're both very repairable and cheap. Also I think you can still easily swap the keyboard assembly so you could just buy a russian keyboard separately

Trivial digital electronics question:
What's the name of a digital IC that has 8 inputs, 8 outputs and a single enable pin, so that depending on the signal on the enable pin, the levels on the outputs are either:
- the same as on the inputs
- all low
I'm sure that such a thing must exist, but I can't find it. And I know that I can use eight and-gates, but I don't want to connect 30 pins when in theory 20 should be enough.
it's wild that no one figured out how to install software on windows without stealing your focus

@monorail I mean, considering that we have antibiotics and vaccines and stuff like that, we can even treat autoimmune diseases which by definition the body can't handle by itself, I think we're doing quite well

the upcoming Zelda game looks kinda like the 2D BotW prototype, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was a direct result of more experimentation with more puzzle-y mechanics
also I kind of have a deadline where I wanna have a working PC (Dawntrail release)
oh ffs, I got a bunch of parts to fix my PC (it had crashing issues and It's probably the board, so I replaced most parts bc I'm not gonna buy another AM4 board) and now the new parts don't POST at all
