Oh, Makerphone has added a 4G option, I guess that's more futureproof than 2G, right? Might also be interesting because mobile data kickstarter.com/projects/alber

"hey USB might become a DC power standard, that might actually clear up the mess that is DC power supply"
*USB power delivery*
"nope, still a mess"

Of course it can't be in a little Playstation case, but some people obviously want a small emulator box, see the Super NT (yeah it's "FPGA" but it's still an emulator)

I wonder if Sony could sue someone selling a little ARM box with a preinstalled FOSS PlayStation emulator. As long as it doesn't come with ROMs or a BIOS, it should be fine, right? and I feel like it should be possible to keep it cheaper than Sony's price, esp if it's just compatible with existing Bluetooth and USB gamepads in lieu of coming with two shitty replica ones

too tired to do anything but idle on my phone, can't sleep because I still have to hours of train ride ahead of me

gosh Mirror's Edge is such a good game, and also such a flawed game

hey Nintendo hire me to turn every single one of your franchises into a dating sim

the Switch is perfect for dating sims

Nintendo should do a game with Smash's roster* but it's a dating game

*plus Waluigi

then again not that many games use physx extensively to begin with, I know about Borderlands 2 and Mirror's Edge (though ME really shines with it)

Show thread

I wonder how expensive it'd be to have an extra nvidia card just for physx, it shouldn't need that much performance, especially if the actual graphics stuff isn't running on the same card

This is the computer that matches this CRT! It's currently a dualboot Windows Me/XP and it's powered by a 1.4GHz Athlon, 1GB of RAM (upgraded from 128MB) and a GeForce 2 MX. The CD burner is aftermarket. The power button is a little globe, but it's really hard to see in person so I can't really get a picture of it

Mirror's Edge is such a good game, sadly it doesn't have a 4:3 mode

currently installing Mirror's Edge on this machine because I know it'll run and look amazing and I even get to use PhysX on this thing c:

It's interesting how this screen is fine to run ME or even XP but put Windows 10 on it and it starts feeling cramped. I guess UI got bigger over time, huh

Show thread

hm, setting this CRT to 1600*1200 (its maximum) and Windows to 125% scaling might actually be the way to go
