okay, it managed to resume the download, that's good

update: I'm pretty sure it hung while downloading, so now I'm downloading again

during the time I've already wasted with this game I could've probably downloaded Mariokart 64 and Retroarch and played that

update: it's still unplayable, since it wants to download what I assume is the actual game after I've cleared the tutorial, and that's been going for a while

and who could forget Sara (Racer) and Sara (Magician), two distinct and memorable characters *gets forcibly logged off Mastodon*

characters would be another interesting category, and a close one. While Mario Kart obviously has a bunch of really memorable and cool characters from the Mario series, SuperTux Kart has timeless characters like the GNU, Tux and Heck, I didn't know the mouse from XFCE had a name!

controls: I vastly prefer SuperTux Kart because whatever the fuck they're trying in Mario Kart Tour isn't working
graphics: SuperTux Kart looks like ass, let's move on
monetization: SuperTux Kart is free, Mario Kart Tour is designed to suck up as much money it can get.
do I wanna play it: that's a no for both, I have MK8D on my Switch which is an actually good kart game

Okay, one quick venture into Magisk Manager to turn on Magisk Hide, let's see if this is better than the Android port of SuperTuxKart, which is a pretty low bar to clear

ooh, Apple Music for Android got an update that fixes some major UI issues and adds the new karaoke lyrics mode and apparently Chromecast support (can't check lol)
