Finally finished Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, what a lovely game!
Somehow I got through most of it and then it started crashing my whole computer, I still don't know what was going on there. Some of it was definitely heat as it really pushes my hardware… I did a bunch of troubleshooting but couldn't fix it, well, I got through the last part without any hard crashes at least. I think I get why people buy consoles now
oh, btw, if you play #FFXIV and haven't done the rising event quest yet, it's double worth it this year c:
spent way too long on a shortcut that throws a random link into the "cast youtube to chromecast" or the "ask yt-dl for a media link, then cast to chromecast" service respectively, but hey, now I can use my chromecast from my iPad somewhat, that's cool
I mean I can just put in a bit more sugar it's not like this was ever supposed to be a healthy drink lol
somehow the cheaper from-concentrate juice that I usually buy makes better Orange Joe than the fancy organic stuff I had to buy because they were out of the cheap one
Itch.io is having to switch hosting providers sometime in the next three months, and that's going to act like clearing your browser storage: you'll lose your current saves.
So if you're playing long-form #InteractiveFiction or other web games that save to the browser, here's a little thing that should let you download your data and restore it after the switchover... https://crocmiam.itch.io/itch-localstorage-export-import
(Itch's post on the subject is here: https://itch.io/t/3099694/notice-for-html-game-devs-upcoming-change-to-cdn-domain)
pretty interesting that this 100 year old building has a room to store a handful of bikes that was apparently planned as that from the beginning
