Weird question of the day!
What's some of your favorite religious music?
@makyo Opened a tab of that to listen when I get a chance :)
@starkatt https://youtu.be/2fSfH4SlnV8
https://youtu.be/li9Tf255aYE is theoretically not but contains enough overt ritual.
"Spirit of Life" hymm from " Singing the Tradition" Hymnal of Unitarian Universalists Congregations.
Singing it during service was incredibly moving and always difficult to get through without choking up.
@starkatt Tied between two choral songs by the composer Urmask Sisask.
Dominus Vobiscum, or Oremus.
Both of them are...ineffable. And also feature the same phrases sung over each other at varying speeds (especially Oremus, which is literally just that word intoned), plus a haunting planetary scale of notes.
