today I learned that HSPICE ("the 'gold standard' for accurate circuit simulation," which I use every day) was developed by Ashawna Hailey, who was trans, and her twin brother Kim. they went on to deliver the first 8080 clone for AMD.
New #linguistic thing I heard from a teenager at the seder: "I think I've just been atted at," in response to shade being thrown
I'm often so-so about proclaming myself as trans; that word in combination with my queer+masc presentation can sorta give the wrong idea about my story. Today, though, I'm here to remind folks that trans includes many different paths and approaches, and they're all valid. #TransDayOfVisibility
"after the revolution"
the cosplay people swarming Seattle made me think: after the revolution, we might be able to imbue daily life with some of the semiotic richness and playfulness of that's currently seen mostly at cons and similar point-events. that lighter, looser sense of public life might help compensate for what, for many people, will be inevitably be a diminished material standard of living. i'm willing to make that trade personally.
That reminds me, it's totally possible to build a pulsed laser using some aluminum rails, foil, a thin sheet of plastic, and an HV power supply.

Moving to @starkatt
I'm a leftist trans gay fox girl. More than one thing can be true at a time. I believe in agency, subjectivity, and beauty.
In my day job, I'm an apprentice electrician.
