I love to coordinate my music choice with the games I'm playing, right down to the characters. When I play Chicken in Nuclear Throne, I always start off with "It's My Beak" by Libythth. Robot, first few tracks off RZA's "Bobby Digital" album. And in my headcanon, the Marine from Gungeon is into cryptic jazz.

But currently I'm obsessed with the digital version of Through The Ages, a Civ-inspired boardgame. And there just aren't a lot of good songs out there about responsible civic governance. -_-

@kel@dragon.style Long story, it's a few posts back. Basically, an unwanted contact from an estranged friend was really stressing me out, and I got up the nerve to say something about it. It turned out to be a misunderstanding, but I'm still all twisted up and frustrated about it. I'll be okay. *pets*

What the fuck ever. This has been a hell of a crappy experience, drawn out over the last year and a half, but I'm escaping it intact and it looks like so is everybody else. That's over with, I have the last of my things from that household, and it's kind of nice to have that symbol of being done with it all. I survived it, I came out of it stronger, I love the situation I'm in now, and let's face it, if nothing else, they were totally right that we should not have been in the same household together. Fuck it, I'm playing some Nuclear Throne and getting back to work. Thank you all again for being supportive. No real blame in this situation, just... glad it's over and I'm heading to a new life in a few months anyhow.

For the record, apparently the note turns out not to have been Orrery's idea, and there was just a misunderstanding. There was definitely no intentional wrongdoing, it just... it was not a good thing to deal with. Suitable apologies have been exchanged, and thank you all for the hugs, pettings, and gazelle carcasses. I really just want to go back to putting all this behind me. -_-

@Leucrotta No idea. I could probably do a cafe thing, but be warned, if this last thing I posted about explodes for any reason, I might be in a _really_ unsociable mood. If you're willing to put up with one, yeah, we can hang out. :)

I did it. I identified what it was that was nagging at me -- an attempt by Orrery several weeks ago to contact me over something I felt was trivial. This was despite my impression that we had settled into a comfortable non-contact zone, not one where I'm not allowed to contact her but she can drop her name into my inbox and trigger me whenever she feels like.

I sent the kindest, firmest note that I possibly could, telling her that I don't want to hear from her unless it's for some kind of reconciliation, and that I know that's probably not going to happen. And then I cried a little, added a bit where I wished her well, edited it so it was as genuinely nice as I could possibly muster under the situation, thanked her for the many good things she did do for me... and then curled up for that power nap I was threatening if I found myself to be totally inconsolable.

Y'all...? I'm totally inconsolable. Hugs, petting, and gazelle carcasses would be very timely. Just leave them on the sleeping, yowling black-striped lump in our living room. (Wear Kevlar just in case.)

(Afterthought: the "anyone but Peg" is because she's become quite an expert in tiger handling, and knows exactly the right place to bop me on the snoot to get me to settle down. Also have you SEEN those fuckers in the Monstrous Manual, she's got like 8 hit dice on me plus FIRE. =^___^;= )

I'm in a right foul one today, and I feel sorry for anyone but Peg who has to deal with me. Currently attempting to treat it with massive amounts of caffeine, sugar, and Flight of the Conchords. Then maybe a nap, one of those BRÜTÄL, INTENSE two-hour naps that only us tigers know how to take safely.

If that fails, I think I'mma put on my hunting gear, head for Reddit's conservative subs, and menace prey until the smile comes back to my Enormous Fangéd Maw. I hear libertarians and transphobes are In Season.

If that doesn't work, I swear to the gods, I'm gonna eat a whole ghost pepper. Ten minutes of agony is better than eight hours of sullen.
