Aww, that was nice! Logged onto Tapestries on an impulse, figuring I'd just crowd-watch and amuse myself while I finished up work.

Instead I ran into an old friend and we caught up, in-character, on her life and her new home and her new robot sex-doll body and her new symbiont that apparently grew from the alien textile sample my space donkey Oobalou gave her ages ago. :D

It was so nice to be reminded there are still friendly faces there. I keep worrying that I'm bringing some kind of Pariah Asshole Energy into every social space I re-enter, because I'm just so high-maintenance and... tigery when I'm stressed out. NGL, it's super therapeutic to have someone still be happy-to-the-point-of-bouncy to see me.

I wonder if anyone's ever made a proper EDM track out of the Wilhelm scream? There are a few half-assed attempts on Youtube, but they're either not recognizable as Wilhelm or are more like low-quality YTPs. It just seems like such an obvious gimmick.

Your silly old tiger aunt went and made a batch of posole with a vegetable broth she hadn't tried before.

And it reeks of mushrooms.

And your Aunt Rezy is very iffy on mushrooms ever since... certain neurological misadventures in her glory days.

Any advice for reducing that flavor? It's already full of salsa verde, and I'm hoping the hominy will absorb some of it, but I'm hoping one of you food wizards know some kind of trick for removing that nasty metallic... fungusness. Thanks!

@kaputotter Haha, now I'm imagining a young Vulcan adept taking a dose of MDMA with the same kind of revulsion humans associate with cod liver oil. It feels icky to be filled with all those confusing, disorderly emotions but it's all good for you in the long run...

Had a nasty self-esteem dive over the last couple days, and chatting with "my crowd" here has been super-therapeutic. Basically over it and recuperating now, between you lot and (frankly) kicking ass at work today. Just wanted to thank everybody for being there and putting up with Madame Biteycat. <3
