@Leucrotta Chung designs for a futuristic version of the old comic hero. Number one best portrayal of real genre cyberpunk on Sat morning tv. Sincere ecofable elements (and some unfortunate white savoir stuff they couldnt quite scrub off the original property). Really REALLY good lead villain too, with remarkably realistic personal and political motives that actually MAKE SENSE. Criminally underrated.

Peebles started panting after a strenuous play session, which is apparently not that abnormal but of course the first source I found online decided to scream IMMINENT CAT DOOM in contradiction to every single other source.

She also has a warm nose, which is apparently not a real sign of illness? And Sugarfoot was making hacky noises last night and there was a little bit of kitty barf on the porch this morning. (I won't go into the details but it evidently wasn't the "bad kind.") Also, our elderly neighbor has a tendency to leave out filthy crusted-up bowls and cans of wet food for them which is REALLY starting to annoy me.

I love these guys but lately what it's really been is an inroad for all my old hypochondria to sneak right back in the door. I had learned to deal with my own little health twitches, but worrying about THESE little dudes gets right past all my defenses.

It's gonna be like this for years before I learn to relax, isn't it.

@fineursine I've heard Peruvian-Chinese is kinda its own genre, though, isn't it? The whole Chifa thing? I've been dying to try that, too.

Remember, I grew up in OHIO, so I've had some very bland Chinese food in my life. :) But I also lived in Boston for a while, so I've also had some very, very, very good Chinese food.

I've never had wonton soup to write home about, but I have definitely had good comforting wonton soup. I'm also kind of a chili-head and tend not to chase after something non-spicy when there's a spicy option!

Manchow chicken is a lot like that, I'll share a recipe if I find one that hits the same notes as the one I ordered!
