dont be like me, kids. if you're prone to heat migraines/ heat sickness and you gotta go out, take tylenol before you go. hydrate. eat something light. wear loose light colored clothing. wear sunglasses. wear a hat with a brim.
if you start feeling bad, hydrate. find somewhere to cool down. ice packs or cold water bottles behind your head, neck, and ears. peppermint candy, oil, or tea helps calm nausea. so does lemon. be safe out there.

safety recall on several BIPAP, CPAP, and mechanical ventilators
Heads-up via https://twitter.com/madblqscientist/status/1406979791425789954 on Twitter, who has further commentary: several breathing assist devices manufactured by Philips under various brandnames used a sound abatement foam material that can degrade and release carcinogenic compounds into the air the user is breathing.
The official recall page is https://www.usa.philips.com/healthcare/e/sleep/communications/src-update and describes which devices are affected and the claims process.
re: An open letter to software developers. (micro-rant)
@mawr Yeah. It sure is.
re: An open letter to software developers. (micro-rant)
@mawr Because the wireless is on one subnet and the wired is on another. Apparently that... matters? To a lot of stuff?
re: An open letter to software developers. (micro-rant)
@confusedcharlot Because Autodesk, that's why. *sighs* Tons of websites too.
Granted, I'll grudgingly accept this over the thing Adobe did for Creative Suite where the software could only be authenticated on two systems at once... and if a system suddenly blew up, the only way to get that authentication slot back was to _call them on the phone._
An open letter to software developers. (micro-rant)
Dear software developers,
If you work on a product that insists on requiring a networked login yet doesn't provide a way for the user to mark multiple IP addresses and/or systems as valid to remain logged in, good news! You have found the next feature that needs developing and everything else should stop until it's done.
If that's not your decision, find whose it is, and hire bouncers to make sure they have to enter their full password every time they try to open any door in their house, personal vehicle, or office.
Sincerely and with all love,
An Actual User of Software Who Is Tired of Logging In Yet Again Just Because They Brought Their Laptop into Another Room in ihe Same Damn House.
@hystericempress I just hope they emulate Catra's look but not her attitude. :)

Ik this isn't healthy, but I feel resentment when I notice an artist only ever draws slim and "normal" body types, especially if they're an experienced artist who has a very refined personal art style
Even if the artist themselves haven't done anything wrong, it just bugs me
I don't intend to kinkshame by saying this ofc but: fat people exist outside of kink, outside of fatfur. I want to see art where fat people are allowed to exist and be people
@fluffy I lived on it for much of that time. It was the only thing with caffeine that didn't ramp me up to unreasonable levels then crash me after a few hours. And I loved the flavor! And, you know, the pretty cat on the can was a nice bonus.
one time i got all the way through character creation in a tabletop game with a bard who died years ago but channels the adoration from his fans as a form of prayer to retain his form and weave energy into devastating magic attacks
but then the DM noticed me writing the character name "spellvis" and i had to start over
