Your lived experience is neither universal nor normative.
Your judgment isn't and can't be objective.
Your lived experience doesn't qualify you to pass judgment on other people's lived experiences.
You can, at best, compare your perceptions of others' public performances to your lived experience.
Only assholes treat their lived experiences as licence to pass judgment on others.

Don't be an asshole.

Fuck depression.

Fuck depression for ruining the lives of wonderful people in times of stress.

Fuck depression for leaving scars both mental and physical on so many.

Fuck depression for taking the lives of so many good people before their time.

But most of all? Fuck society for viewing depression as laziness.
For seeing suicide as intentionally selfish.
For voicing thousands of reasons to hate the depressed and berating those who love and care for them.

They don't know they are all crazy. All 7 billion of them. Every Terran possesses a complex organic computer suspended in fluid and enclosed in [calcium]. It is literally so complex that it doesn't shut off when they [sleep]. And every one is structurally incapable of distinguishing fantasy from reality.

That is what makes them so powerful. They can look at the universe in all of its totally and just… dismiss it. Dream a new one to take its place, and be so convinced, they make it real.

Fellow Mastadonians- take a stand against harassment if you can do something about it.

Speak out if you see something. File a report. Take the person's attention away from their target until an admin can do something.

Let's make this better than Twitter. It starts with us.
