@socks we haven't used linux in quite a long time, so mostly we just use notepad++ for text editing, eprsonally

we don't know how simple it is to use though. we use (or at least used to use) vim, and have never used emacs

(among Linux People™ there's a big rivalry between emacs users and vim users, and to a lesser extent nano users. we don't have a side in that other than "this rivalry is pointless", but it might make it hard to find good comparative information)

it revolves around a macro system that's ridiculously powerful, i wouldn't be surprised if someone's ported doom to it

@trysdyn We never played the original Exile, but we have played all of Avernum and enjoyed it a lot. It'd be interesting to play it balanced for a larger party with more variety, but i'm not sure how we'd do that because we have historically done Not Well with that style of interface.

@packbat @manifold A paper filter wouldn't recover the flavorant, you'd need to evaporate the water out. unless you're talking about removing stray flavor powder and then using a sodastream, which shouldn't be a concern; there won't be enough undissolved stuff to cause any problems
