but like I said yesterday, every time I go visit my parents I have new expenses. this time my mom needs some emergency dental intervention + monthly payments so she can completely remove all of her teeth and then add implants (which does reminds me I had a broken tooth for... 3+ years that I wasn't able to fix yet). she needs a initial payment for a temporary fix and then monthly payments for the whole procedure. ofc my father won't pay for it because he don't want to so I'm having to foot the bill

so I've had to unfortunately up the goal for this month but really there is nothing I can do :(

These websites are still relatively new and a lot of things need to be ironed out. Despite its obvious flaws, Twitter's overall design is actually pretty refined, and that's because it's had tons of time and money put into it. These new platforms are working with a fraction of that budget. Yes, there's jank and weird crap but I'm *begging* y'all to look past that.

If we want to have something *truly* better than Twitter then we *need* to give these platforms a chance.

Which is to say that insofar as we're concerned with changing society we inhabit to one that is more concerned with protecting one another than with doing as one damn well pleases, that has to be something that starts with us.

#CW are our opportunity to model #care & #consent as we would have it offline.

The thing is, #ethics aren't one way.

You should do X to protect me but don't expect me to do Y to protect others ain't how any of this works.

I'm in the process of getting a gender dysphoria diagnosis. It's needed for HRT, and while hormones are cheap in Poland, diagnosis itself is actually costly.

I make enough to get by, but not to save up, so money was tight... and THEN my dog's liver problems came back. So, expensive vet bills.

Hate to ask for money again, but between the two doctors (pet and human one), prospective costs pile up.
