Thought the Offspring lyrics were “you gotta lift and separate ‘em,” and spent years trying to figure out why a song about trying to find a bra that fits would be so violent. Which is obviously my inexperience shopping for bras.

I did some very loose #drawing, with fantasy characters, some portraits, and a Norse type vs. a werewolf, and it helped with the Sunday Evening Feelings.

I'm starting to feel like calling the Mesozoic the time When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth is a misnomer, not just because the era seems to be full of absolutely terrifyingly badassed crocodillians, but because *every* era seems to feature terrifyingly badassed crocodillians.

Before getting caught in that particular spiral, I made sweet & sour fish, and meatballs, and put up some red onion pickles. I never thought I'd enjoy cooking so much, but it's a good compromise between adulthood (save money, food on hand) and self indulgence (making something).

I want to play fantasy TTTRPS and have it be fun again, but I worry that’s way more about my depression than it is about the actual game, if that makes sense?

I’ve been thinking lately that a big category of emotional response are places where I am actually in the right, should be able to do something about stuff, and can’t effectively do anything. All I can think here is that life is inclusive and additive rather than exclusive and subtractive, such that I’m going to be upset about this stuff but there’s more in my life. I think this has been thrown off by the catastrophizing, fix-it-NOW, anything can be used to penalize you nature of childhood.

I’m upset about how some stuff with Ukraine is handled. Anyway there is nothing I can damn well do about it.
