My mind has milling around posthuman violence/‘violence’ and death with regards to having backups, being non-organic, and generally being able to modify the “experience”
I’ve had a side that was kinda low-key into snuff and gore but the nonpermanence of it in a posthuman setting seems to solve a lot of the issues i had, mentally.

But i recall that i parsed that at least the supernatural parts of it were presented in such a way that you aren’t really sure whether or not what is going on is tangibly real or some sort effect of the sickness Mae feels.
Either way, it doesn’t quite matter and i found that to be a very interesting point :)
