@anthracite Ooooh big time. I prefer to go for a walk with some good music. Paying attention to the movement of the trees and what they have to say.

If I feel particularly catatonic, I listen to a fuckload of lectures. More specifically Alan Watts.

"Jack the Corgi Puppy: Day Three" [0:53]

@Leucrotta I still have plenty of donation money left, and for that I'm incredibly grateful for my community and those who contributed.

Well, the court mitigated my fines from a $958 ticket down to $195. That finally closes this wonked up chapter in my life. Whew.

There's something nostalgic about construction... Working outside on a sunny day, remodeling a house. It's like I'm a kid building a fort or a treehouse.

@mawr Awww! Mawr, you're the biggest sweetie I've ever known and this proves it. I hope the little guy adjusts well. I imagine it's scary for him to be alone!

Sorry I've been so stuck in the gutter lately. Losing my previous job threw me off balance on an emotional level and left me lost in my head. But, now that I'm working again, I look forward to getting back into my community and continuing to give it my all.

imposter’s syndrome, self-loathing

@xurnami I totally understand the imposter syndrome bit. Hardcore. I'm always willing to lend an ear if you need to talk about it.

imposter’s syndrome, self-loathing

@xurnami I'd say don't worry about it! Have fun doing what you want to do. I may have only met and interacted with you a couple of times, but from what I've seen of you, you're a fun personality to be with!

Looks like the planets have aligned in my favor! I now work for a general contractor and I'm allowed to bring a dog to work!

Bashing the rich

Rich people who think low income/homeless individuals shouldn't have pets deserve to be punched in the face.

I mean, seriously? For some of these people, that dog is the only thing keeping them from jumping off a bridge.

It's always a jarring experience to go into downtown Seattle. A dimension separate from everything around it. I could be in any city and the chaos is always the same. Skittering at rhe feet of skyscrapers that are the belittling hallmark of industry.

The main exception is the rustic and intimate Pike Place Market. Which feels more like Diagon Alley than the sense of cold, dystopian foreboding that's seen in the rest of Downtown.

It's so weird that I now have a job that starts at 9:30am and goes roughly to 5pm.

Being an early riser who keeps waking up at 5/6am, I'm seizing the extra hours available to just sit by the shore of Greenlake and enjoy a cup of coffee.

GRS fretting

@makyo *hugs* I wish you the best! It'll all turn out okay, and the universe unfolds as it should.

housing, anxieties (~+)

@Soreth No worries! Feel free to drop me a line when the time is right.

@Ulfra_Wolfe There are ways of doing so. The first step you've already taken is aclnowledging it in the first place because you know you're separate from it. At this point it's a cat and mouse game between you and it.

housing, anxieties (~+)

@Soreth Want to go for a walk in the park sometime? I'm always willing to lend an ear and I always enjoy good company.

It's been way too long since I've seen a sunset like this... It's rejuvenating in more ways than one.

Selfie/eye contact

Note, the ritual studs I was wearing up in the mountains weren't barbells, so it's nice to find something close to that.
