in the hopes of/attempt to prevent the burnout i can feel worming its way into my bones, i've restocked myself with polymer clay.
naturally i'm gonna attempt a high-level thing with it immediately*, but it'll be nice to make physical objects again.
* apparently you can make bjd out of polyclay? what if i had my ocs, but as figures....
update! just a lot of dust in the fan. some plastic was ritually sacrificed to make sure everything still runs correctly, we're all good.
@Felthry i do and i did yesterday! it quieted down for a bit and was whirry again this morning, so i might haul off the back later to check if a fan blade hasn't snapped itself.
my laptop is making A Whirring Noise, but i can tell it's one of the two fans and not the hard drive because it gets louder when the laptop is in a sunbeam.

i've often been able to successfully explain Sonas, fur or otherwise, to people outside of the (generally queer/furry) culture with:

it's a way of putting it in a perspective of self-enjoyment/fulfillment/love for people who Just Don't Get It on first contact.
