I was excited that they're doing the King of England bits of Hellboy's story, but seeing the trailer I'm not so sure anymore. Hellboy /with/ the BPRD during the whole thing seems odd?
Also the guy with the scarred face is, I'm guessing, Benjamin Daimyo...the guy who turns into a werepanther monster in BPRD, who far as I know never met Hellboy. *shruuuug*
Semi-excited to catch a glimpse of the newer BPRD mountain headquarters at least.

@Leucrotta Hm. In the book you learn pretty much on their first encounter the bond between the girl and the monster. I can understand film needing different pacing, but for that to come out of nowhere /would/ be pretty jarring.
Mortal Engines /was/ in fact a novel! I just finished it. It's YA, which explains the silliness of the premise without having to have too many in-world explanations. It's not actually that bad either? Lots of adventure, the only real moral pressuring is "hey that sort of Darwinism which says the strong prey on the weak? That's bad."
