Mild Lewd
@xurnami That one's real cute. Salamander?
@Felthry Oh hey! Someone else who plays Creeper World 3!
It's one of the few real-time strategy games I can be good at, and I love the combo of implacable but ultimately dumb enemies with slow network-building spatial planning and energy management. :-}
I started yelling about food on birdsite a while back. it was surprisingly fun to fit a recipe in a twert with lots of pictures and sometimes cursing. It was all veg, but I didn't really make a big deal out of it, since I just want to encourage folks to make good food.
Anyway, I decided to turn it into a project, a combination blog and book. It's very much a vanity project, but it feels good to make.
So anyway, MEALTIME WITH MADDY is now a legit thing! http://mealtime.with.maddypa.ws/
Woo, Magic, Sci-Fi
I am re-reading a particularly good sci-fi book, and came across this particular bit. It....gave me chills, just a little, in how much it resembles a lot of my own thoughts on magic, realms of imagination, and the unfortunate need to remain somewhat anchored to the orthocosm.
This is just... powerful, to me. No surprise that I identify really strongly with the Minds.

@irisjaycomics It's never selfish or unproductive to draw yourself! You're a pretty bird, and you should show it. :-}
@starkatt Yeah, and thanks for that insight, helps me with combat a bit, where hopefully I won't be saying quite as much "No idea what I can do here." :-P
As long as I don't feel silly in trying to talk a crow into staying on the ground. :-P

Y ell enthusiastically
@Draekos @TinyFawks @feilen That is super cute! :-D
@starkatt I could make some pretty dumb jokes here, but I won't.
@zebratron2084 You saw (or might have seen) my screed the other day regarding how "all the mind and gentle queers were killed and now anyone left is hella angry" is such bullshit.
I'm sick of it too but I don't have nearly the same tools or strength to immerse myself in the politics to effectively say anything.
@indi @zebratron2084 Meanwhile, the Maxoline are over in the corner, practicing Magixkqck. :-P
@starkatt Maybe I should write some! :-P
@starkatt You can take the pointed end; I'll take the fire end. :->
@indi @zebratron2084 I /am/ mostly a phoenix so I kinda have a clear choice too. :-D
@zebratron2084 I don't have the political knowledge nor the spoons to try and increase it, at this point, but hon, I'm right there with you.
Thank you so much for speaking up against all the tactics that have been on display since last year.
Honestly, truly, thank you for adding some clear-headed reason to a situation that's rapidly bleeding it out, or denying that anything reasonable can even be said anymore.
Seriously. You're doing good work.
@adeptomega Awwwwww!
There's no denying that there's a little bit of power and a little bit of /you/ in something like a plush you've had your /entire/ life.
I'm super happy to still have my first plushies, too. :-)
@Draekos *grins* Kinda thought so. :-P
wooalization
Discovered something that, like many of my discoveries, should have been obvious but wasn't.
If I am trying to visualize a place, and I put down a description into words, that just about doubles my ability to put myself there. In a woo sort of projection sense.
It's almost like my sense of woo is heavily based on fiction and words and the power of stories to create worlds! (It is.)
This is combining with my deep knowledge of the Myst game series lore in many interesting ways. :-)
@Draekos Those eggs are blue. Whose are they? :-P
@LexYeen Have you considered compiling blog posts of these per episode? :-)
