confusing dreams with real life
I was on an airplane where they gave the passengers tablets for an animated test/quiz to select "captains," who would sit in the first class area and be responsible for passenger safety in emergencies. the test involved identifying swimming koi, complicated math problems, and identifying sarcasm.

confusing dreams with real life
the city was half in ruins, from whatever disaster had hit a year or so ago, but there was a lot of rebuilding going on. it was an odd city--lots of solar panels, including massive sails of them, as tall as the skyscrapers, constructed between buildings (because THAT MAKES SENSE FOR SOLAR PANELS OBVIOUSLY), and *many* abandoned buildings/areas that seemed to have been overgrown for decades.
confusing dreams with real life
there were lots of foxes in the trees, kinda fluffy-looking foxes that "sang" like squirrels, *lots* of foxes--like one or two in each tree--that coursed along the branches like an orange and white river along an oak branch that had grown through a broken window into their den inside a long-abandoned airport terminal, and all I can think was "I've *gotta* post about this on Masto!"
@Jacel *gentle nosetouches and hugs offered*
@Jacel Spouse and I were debating on a new name (he'd come to us as "Josh" which was like... no) and for some reason I kept coming up with angel names, so Spouse looked up a list and suggested it--the Angel of Mysteries. for when we go "RAZIEL WHERE ARE YOU WHAT ARE YOU GETTING INTO HOW DID YOU EVEN DO THAT"
@Leucrotta I love the color of his eyes, I wonder if they're going to lighten into the usual yellow, or change into something else entirely, or stay this shade?
@001zlnv @anthracite YARNBOAT 4: THE BOATYARNENING
@anthracite for me, E3 has always been Just Another Event I Don't Pay Attention To, like the Superb Owl or Father's Day. :P I don't have the context to know if it's changed over the years, for better or worse...
@hummingrain he is so handsome. I often forget to comment on your pictures, but I enjoy them greatly, and Jerry is just such a striking reptile. <3
@001zlnv he is so tiny! when he is annoyed he makes tiny annoyed noises, but when he's happy his purr is FIVE TIMES THE SIZE OF HIS BODY. I don't know how he does it.
also I believe I just saw a Cooper's hawk swoop past my window, possibly missing a grab at another bird. I heard the "snap" of a quick-flapping wing and saw it glide past; about the size of a crow, but identifiably brown. pretty sure that'd be one of the parents, shopping for lunch for the kids they've got nesting close by again this summer. yay! :D
meet the newest member of the family, on his first full day at home! Raziel came from PAWS, is 2 months old, likes exploring, playing, cuddles, exploring, sleeping, cuddles, playing, food, and exploring, and purrs like a buzzsaw on overdrive. he's just over 2 lbs, has a vet appointment on Friday (but is in excellent health), and his markings remind me very much of a spotted skunk.

@kara@occult.camp a villain who tries to make me think about complicated stuff when I've just woken up. o_____o
though it's probably just because I've seen the relevant material lately, I'd say Thanos (as portrayed in the Infinity War movie, I'm not familiar with the comic canon)--brilliant, complex, caring, interesting and interested--but like before he came up with his "50% of everyone should die" thing, you're searching for a solution, but I can see you being that driven once you find one.
