so rather than staying awake, I went back to sleep for a couple of hours. seems like it was a good choice.

@typhlosion NOT RECOMMENDED: getting tattoos of random deities you're unfamiliar with "because they look cool." I got EXTREMELY LUCKY with Djwty (Thoth). a friend of mine got EXTREMELY UNLUCKY with Kali. a tattoo is a blood & pain sacrifice, & also money (in paying the artist), & quite likely to get a god's attention.

unfortunately I am now thoroughly awake several hours earlier than usual. plus I was having a *really* disturbing, *really* bad dream just before being woken up, so I kind of don't want to go back to sleep... just in case it's in there, waiting for me. :P I'll probably nap later in the day instead. or go to sleep really early tonight.

@literorrery at this point I only open Twitter (on my private account) every once in a while, scroll down a bit, repost some stuff... close it, come back here. I'm pretty much only doing social--and interesting--stuff here. :P

just heard him talking on his cell phone under the window 9____9 saying that he heard "another dog" in the woods and "it sounded like it was hurt." dude. DUDE. even if you did hear a hurt dog, letting your own healthy dogs in there to CHASE IT DOWN would have hurt it EVEN MORE. and you obviously can't control them. ASSHOLE.

I'm sure the coyote is long gone, and his dogs are big enough that they weren't in danger from it--but what the actual fuck, dude? walking your dogs without even *bringing* a damn leash?? that's a good way to LOSE YOUR DOGS. asshole.

woke up to a coyote yip-yowling.

stayed awake watching a dumbass who had evidently taken his two dogs out walking *without a damn leash* follow them into the greenspace. all three of them have been running around--well, the dogs have been running more than him; he emerged, still whistling for his dogs, and retied his ponytail. /facepalm

and now... the sleepening begins! goodnight awoo!

as I was leaving with Pooka, I saw the wheeled carriage being brought out, with no pixie-bob. and now I'm tearing up thinking about it. but if he went in love, with care, in peace and comfort... that's really all any of us can ask, until/unless we figure out some kind of immortality.

as I was coming in, another human was bringing in a cat in a wonderful wheeled carriage kitty carrier, and I WANT ONE OF THOSE. the kitty was a huge long-haired pixie-bob--I thought he was a Maine coon at first. unfortunately, he was very lethargic, and his human said he probably wouldn't be going home. the human was much calmer about it than I would have been in their place, but obviously deeply sad.

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town I'm actually kind of having fun with it, I just need to... convince myself to keep working on it, y'know? plus my hands are out of shape for typing, they need the workout! ;)

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town I'm trying to get myself to a goal of "rewriting one chapter a day." it's *already written* forgoshdarnsake, I'm just literally *retyping* it from one window to another... and making changes as I go along. which is working for me SO MUCH BETTER than any attempt at editing I've ever tried, so. XD

@Doephin @mawr I wonder what that would even look like? .... but yeah, now I want one too! XD

I'm still not sure if I'm actually going to post it to AO3 when I'm done, or give it a third go-over, or just... leave it on my computer forever. the initial goal was to publish it right around the time the next Thor movie comes out, to generate some views... which I can still do, if I push myself some, since that's in November. plenty of time, right? *eheh*

on the other hand, rewriting the already completed Loki story is actually helping that, because it was clumsy at first--so rewriting these first chapters at least is letting me *fix* stuff that I didn't realize was bad to begin with. XD
