@fidgety yes! there's a nesting family of crows that has claimed my porch as part of their territory, and it's been so interesting watching their habits change as nesting season approaches. they kept one of the kids from one of last year's batches to help this year, and I'm looking forward to watching them training the new flock of fledglings how to eat out of the suet cage. I know several of their calls now ("ground asshole," "sky asshole," "food here").

@fidgety ah shit. uh... maybe the eagle will eat Angry Bird? XD

dreamstuff

I dreamed I was a monster again. some kind of mist-cat, I was basically a largish (the size of a small room) quantity of mist, until I formed bits of myself to attack people with, and I horribly murdered a couple of people before disappearing down a storm drain. it was pretty fun. my apologies to the person who had me as their nightmare...

I also dreamed about tiny adorable black goat-sheep that I got to pet and snuggle. dreams = winning

@fidgety it's probably attacking its reflection, i.e. That Other Crazy Bastard That Won't Back Down. not sure how to break that up--maybe if you take down the blackout curtains for a bit, the Other Crazy Bastard thing will fade out and not be so aggravating?

@Edelwood hey, us not-really-human-mammals gotta stick together. you're in good company here. ;)

Guerrilla x Hannibal (se02ep03)

@guerrillarain the only hope you have in Hannibal's Magical Murder World is to never, ever get his attention in any way, or preferably never cross paths with him or like live in the same state. of course with all the other super-artistic super-prolific serial killers running around in that world, that doesn't mean you're *safe*...

warm political take seen elsewhere

"Trump can take credit for the Korean peace talks the same way a man who interrupts an argument between two neighbors to bite the head off a chicken can take credit for ending their argument."

@guerrillarain Hannibal: Worst At Helping, Also Worst At Friending

@zebratron2084 I'm not seeing anything--just a black screen, with the Google navigation tools around it. DARNIT GOOGLE *shakes tiny fist*

just remembered this thing I made a few years ago in which I wrote a program that, for each letter of the alphabet, draws every word containing that letter on top of each other, centering the letter in question static.decontextualize.com/ave

bleh

@mawr one Thing is done! /flex

now... for the hard ones. XD

Infinity War Spicy Take

@literorrery not to mention that doing it as a one-time event is *ridiculous*. it's not going to change things for more than a few *generations*--a couple thousand years later, things will be if anything even *worse*.

also--half of *all life*, or all *sentient* life? because destroying half of *all life* WOULD cause catastrophic environmental failure all over the universe. and where do you define "sentient" anyway? SO MANY PROBLEMS HERE

Infinity War Spicy Take

@literorrery oooh, yeah. also, he *was* a screaming hypocrite--not only because in several instances he didn't destroy *half* the population, but the *entire* population (Asgardian refugees, the place the Collector was, the Forge rings), but also because it only takes a teeny bit of thought to realize that *poof*ing away "half the population" of the universe would *immediately* lead to a dramatic drop in the *remaining* half, for so many reasons.
