Things I do not care for
@Azure wow, that's... condescending, yeah. not what you said, but that acronym. I mean jezus, I'll say "[quick response] Google for more info" or even "I don't have time/bandwidth/inclination to answer this, hit up Google," but that's... damn.
Things I do not care for
@Azure what does LMGTFY stand for? oh wait... *goes and looks it up* >_____>
@starkatt iirc they did an "experiment" with paid postage on voting responses, in the last election I think? yeah, that'd be a nice addition. and yes, to voting in person thing too.
... wow my brain is cheezy right now. XD
@zebratron2084 Friday sounds good, at Chaco Canyon? let me know what timeframe works for you, I'll probably bring my laptop and get there early to try getting some rewriting done. LOL *sigh*
Thoughts on grief (no CW)
One of the toughest parts of grief and losing someone close is all the unanswered questions.
It's also normal to feel guilt for not seeing something or saying something that you think you should have. It's unnecessary because you are not at fault... but it's a normal feeling.
*hugs*
Just *hugs*
Revelation: theology, metaphysics, mortality
@starkatt I don't have the spoons to engage with this currently, but consider this a bookmark for "we really need to hang out and chat about this sometime." ;)
@zebratron2084 oooOOOoh, yesyes! next week sometime? ;)
@AdalwinAmillion oh yes! also Ma'at is--the deity-incarnation of "the way," a very Tao-like concept without actually being Tao at all. Ma'at also means "truth" and "continuity." :) ancient Etyptian religion/spirituality is really neat!
when people are ill-advised enough to ask what my religion/spirituality is, I say "polypantheistic Zen Discordian agnostic-humanist," which basically means "I may or may not believe in a variety of godlike things but I don't think it really matters as long as people are taken care of and stuff gets done, y'know?"
Is #askmastodon a tag people use yet? Because I think it's a good idea.
Anyway, here is my question: Is there any book that you read, that made you immediately want to read everything ever written by that author?
Thanks, I'll hang up and take my answer off the air.
@Elizafox and that is a very Taoist thing to be--both Taoist, and not. ;)
When everyone in the world sees beauty,
Then ugly exists.
When everyone sees good,
Then bad exists.
Therefore:
What is and what is not create each other.
Difficult and easy complement each other.
Tall and short shape each other.
High and low rest on each other.
Voice and tone blend with each other.
First and last follow each other.
