@Jssra It's also really hard to debug when what I'm trying to cultivate is something folks more often try to get rid of.

@Jssra I've been frustrated about this off and on for almost 15 years, and consistently for 5. "Try harder" may be part of the solution, but at this point I'm pretty sure it's not the only missing piece, or the major one.

Spent all day at class taught by a very sweet, very queer person who sounds exactly like I wanna sound and I don't know how to get there and every time I spoke up in class I noticed it more. I just sound growly and old and... shitty. >.<

All the 'feminize your voice' stuff makes me nope out super fucking hard for a number of just... very me reasons.

Next best idea, "maybe just sound more 'gay'"... Yeah, don't bother googling that.

To me, what keeps coming to mind is looking at all the strides that folks I know have made, not just in spite of, but in large part because of, all the orthocosm bullshit that's been happening. The solidarity and mutualism I see on mastodon, the spiritual-current stuff that's been happening in the postfurry community, and a lot of things other folks have mentioned already. WE DID THIS, even as things 'outside' seemed to get worse.
