My own response: I use "80% ace" as a descriptor for myself, and the number has steadily risen over time - not because I've changed myself so much as adjusting what I'm trying to convey.
The description works well as a shorthand for expressing "I'm ace, but I can be interested in people, but I also don't want you to read that as I'm interested in you right now".
Demisexual would convey all that more *accurately*, but I haven't had great results with people knowing what it is.
question for my fellow ace tooters, since there seems to be a bunch on mastodon!
Do you describe yourself as "X% asexual"? Has the number you use changed much over time?
