PSCCU's website permits passwords of up to 32 characters, but rejects all but seven special characters.
Mint THINKS PSCCU's website won't accept passwords longer than 20 characters, but has no special character restrictions.
Mint's website will accept all passwords, but says "you must have entered invalid credentials" if one doesn't meet its incorrect expectations.
Mint's phone app will state the incorrect expectations, but only after typing in the correct full-length password.

The future is here, but it's distributed unevenly. The people who have the patience to put up with the bullshit are the only ones or who can afford to hire people to put up with the bullshit for them are the ones who get Nice Things. Everybody else gets to eat shit. I'm capable of putting up with bullshit, but I shouldn't have to do so, and too many people I care about just don't have the same reservoirs of tolerance for this kind of insanity that I do.
All I want to do right now is get my new account with PSCCU and my old account with Mint to talk to one another, without having to call tech support a third time.
PSCCU's website has kicked me out for the third time, declaring me to have "already logged in" despite having told it I'm logged out, because their fraud-detection system is picking up Mint's logins as fradulent activity.
Concerned Tech Question (Net Neutrality Death)
@mmsword @Doephin @Phorm @anthracite At the risk of playing Cheerful Charlie and ignoring the real short-term pain, projects like GoTenna, Byzantium Linux, and Secure Scuttlebutt suggest we're not that far from converging on at least some solutions. It will still suck, and throughput will be hurt while density grows to replace backbones, but the gaps are solvable.
@mawr @adeptomega @kelseyhusky I like mawrs. And puppers! When could you come over and check out the Observatory fireplace? =n.n=
That Monster
@Soreth I saw the shower comment. It sounds like it's been a really stressful day. *wingpets*
That Monster
@Soreth Oh, no. That sounds like you had a really rough time of it.
@mawr Oh, hey, do you know what to check in a fireplace when lighting fires in them? We'd like to use ours but I haven't had a lit fireplace at home in twenty-five years.
... also, @adeptomega, it occurs to me you might know as well.
That Monster
@Soreth Oh, honey. *offers hugs*
Where are my fuzz butts out there on mastodon?? #furry https://mastodon.social/media/TM1E9o9-CooWjltjZF8
a question about gender identity and sex
@vagabondsun Changes of gender identity during sex specifically, rarely. During other points, like getting wicked high or domming hard, sometimes.
@kelseyhusky ... welp.
@kelseyhusky ... oh, hell.
Faro -> Pharaoh.
Sobeck -> Sobeq, the Pharaoh's guardian.
The Chariot-class chassis made by FAS? Scarabs, Kopeshes and Horuses.
Subtle, and very very clever.
Terminology, Gender/Anatomy, Slurs, Open Question
@KawaSeadrake And that gets into a whole categorization question of whether non-binary is a subset of trans, a superset, or distinct from it. I don't have answers here, merely a lot of interesting questions and thoughts on how you could build consistent beliefs using any of those ideas.
Terminology, Gender/Anatomy, Slurs, Open Question
@KawaSeadrake At one point in the past, I came up with "dex" and "sin" or "lev" as prefixes in the same vein as "cis" and "trans" to discuss body morphology. However, it's not my condition so I don't know if that'll ever see use outside any of my stories.
@shel I just told Google to stop collecting stuff. Now I simply have to assume they're doing it privately.
The current plan for #seattle #meetup lunch on Saturday, December 2 is Olympia Pizza and Spaghetti House in Wallingford
http://wallingford.olypizza.net/zgrid/proc/site/sitep.jsp
It's within walking distance of Seattle Meowtropolitan, and I am assured it has gluten free options. Let's meet there at 11:30?
