@Alkani Of course you do, serval. You face an auspicious direction, catch mice and interesting ideas from time to time, and magic happens around you. I'm used to that from cats. =n.n=

@paulfree14 Put a CW on this and I'll boost it. I agree with you but I must give people the choice to engage with politics or not.

Is anyone aware of trans friendly housing services in Houston? Plz boost.

I feel that if any feature wants adding to the Mastodon platform, it's better-defined security controls. Accounts gets allow/deny lists and which tier they belong to: friends, friends' friends, server, (current!) federation. Each post may invoke same (at account level or lower, and it would cost the length of the allow/deny list).

I don't care who's popular. I care who I can trust.

@KawaSeadrake The best explanation I've seen is "this gives newcomers who find Mastodon ex nihilo a place to start." I accept that argument. I think the current proposed solution is an ill fit.

follow recommendations

@vahnj I can definitely see that point, but then how do you seed it other than random or "already popular"? If this is what we want, let people tag the kinds of stuff they talk about in their profiles, and build the recommendations off of common or related tags.

Mastometa

I would prefer we not have a recommendation system. I'm not sure what problem it's purporting to solve. It might be nice for individuals to be have a permanent "follow list," but presumably that's the list of people they're following. As such, the better solution might be an easier way for people to get their "friends-of-friends" lists to see who they're not following that their friends are.

Bodies

Okay, I'm really sick of this. Twice what the dosage for my size should be of Pepto and I'm still nauseous. I'm joining the robot army.

@ticky @Fuego Tofu works, too. Just make sure you've squeezed it well and given it a marinade before you flour and crumb. Portabella, zucchini, and eggplant all take to this method as well.

Remember your chemistry in the kitchen, folks: boiling starchy foods like potatoes releases that starch into the water.

In related news, as much as I love them, I don't think I can eat the Seafeasts at Crab Pot any more. Even if I don't eat the potatoes, they're still cooked in with everything else. *hrf*
