@Soreth SOCK.
Sprinkles, 'cause you're worth it.
@weirdoslam We're all here for one another. All of us. You're welcome. =n.n=
Pain
@weirdoslam I can't stop you from beating yourself up, but I forgive you. Sometimes we can't know we're needed. Sometimes the signs just aren't there. Our worth as people is based entirely on the fact that we live, we feel, we think, we exist in the world. That value is ours, inalienably.
nat my friend is fucking dead!!!
@weirdoslam No one should die. Not her. Not you. None of us. None of us deserves the crapsack we've been given. The world is full of so much promise and potential, and we're given so few opportunities to recognize it.
I see you. I hear your pain. I affirm your emotions as real and valid. There's no need for you to suffer too.
History (CW: Suicide mention)
In 2000, a member of my first therapy group committed suicide. Her family invited the therapy group to the funeral, but buried her under her deadname. I said then it was an insult both to her and to us. The group fragmented in the wake of the argument that followed.
How far we've come. How far we have yet to go.
@Alkani I see you! When is the next RAWR Write-a-thon? I need to either pledge or participate. And you need to get me details on how I can help!
Friend: Can you help me with [aspect of worldbuilding]
Me: SURE. What do you have so far?
Friend: Well, I want to base it around [group of famous tales]
Me: So, okay, those date back to the medieval period at the earliest, so you want to work backwards from there, you can lean on history or make your own, and depending on X you might want to do 1 or 2, and [babbles on till the next little ice age about all the possibilities]
Semi public lament about masto, some talk about boundaries and my approach
@vahnj You don't have to carry the world alone, hon. The hard work you have done and continue to do is amazing.
@irisjaycomics @makyo Oh definitely!
@irisjaycomics I haven't, but I'm pretty sure @makyo has, and they're local to the area now! I'm pretty sure I could hit them up, and I know they do a bunch of Korean cooking, too.
We should start doing regular potlucks. I need more excuses to get my BAKE on.
@irisjaycomics Yeah, that's pretty normal. I can't do potatoes any more either, much to my sorrow and regret. Still, I cope best as I can, and I've learned to do substitutes for most stuff.
@irisjaycomics that sounds amazing and I would love to see it, though if it's got tomatoes or peppers in it, my nightshade sensitivity will kill it. I do my own chili-esque these days with black beans, zucchini, onions, and corn. Been talking with @adeptomega about cutting the meat content around here. We probably won't manage full-on vegetarianism, but we can definitely do a better job of watching where and how we source our proteins.
