Dishonesty and Campaigning: A Story in Several Underhanded Acts
Seattle area folks:
If you know of anyone hiring desktop techs, we could use your referrals. @kelseyhusky has over 10 years of professional experience and desperately needs an out of their current nightmare of late capitalism.
Please. ;~;
Drugs
I swear, I look like I'm in my seventies in that picture. I feel like I look like I'm in my seventies in that picture.
It isn't that I understand the memes.
It's that I've stopped caring whether I understand or not.
I've hit the point of semantic satiation with the internet. I can be a grandma now in comfort. "That's nice, dear" can be a legitimate answer to everything, because parse errors no longer throw exceptions; they just return empty strings.
Marezy doats.

Bodies (CW: Medical, Gross)
Documented for later:
Lunch was a quart of egg drop soup and three spring rolls. Dinner was most of a piece of spinach garlic naan and a pear. When I haven't been nauseous, I've been exhausted. I just barely avoided throwing up twice today and didn't manage to avoid it once.
Great Work I hate being sick.
... so I'm home sick today because the inside of my stomach would rather be on the outside. So I chose to use the time to finish Opus Magnum.
There's a prize for finishing the main quest during early access, which I discovered because I beat the main quest and it said "congraturation!" It's... apt. Very apt.
US-pol breaking
Former Trump campaign advisor plead guilty to lying to Mueller's team. This was kept secret for three weeks until today.
This will be one hell of a day!

Opus Magnum (Spoiler)
Lead into gold without mercury.
It's a tower of Hanoi. It's a tower of frippin' Hanoi construction. Look at this beautiful thing.
Bandaza
Hey, everybody! The mail inviting folks to Bandaza this year has gone out, but my charming wife thinks that there are too many people on my To: line and that I'm going to get spamtrapped. So, if you think you ought to have gotten one, and you don't, check your spam trap or DM me and I'll see if I broke something.
This is also a clever way of saying if you want to come, I can probably forward you an invite.
Real Talk
Okay, for real. I want to make a video series that starts with me hitting the bong and then proceed into trying to make cookies, bread, and other stuff with the oven.
Twice Baked: Biscuits with th' buni
It's funny, 'cause "baked" is a double entendre, but then "biscuit" means "baked twice," so "baked twice" shows up twice, so it's a double double entende, so the title is like a cryptic crossword clue.
... my head is just _like_ this, folks.
Great Buni Bake-Off
I didn't get an intermediate photo of the rise, but @KoBunny got a photo of the finished product and @adeptomega got one of the crumb once I cut into it. The smell of this loaf is _amazing_, and the texture came out perfect. @ElectricKeet called it manna.
I think it's a cracking buni loaf. https://awoo.space/media/ou9QuBAmO7-aUdPR0II https://awoo.space/media/lOt_adJ69GLEzdfN6G8
Great Buni Bake-Off
The first rise didn't seem to do much, but it's good to remember this is an incredibly dense dough. it came out of the prover -- the oven, off, with steam -- quite slack, and it took quite a bit of flour off the bench when I kneaded it. It did have a lovely texture, though, and about ten minutes of working it gave me a good firm ball. I popped it back in the prover with fresh steam for a second rise, and I've turned off the veggies to cool.
