@zetasyanthis @KawaSeadrake This is what most people consider the #1 problem with Mastodon and as a result the person responsible for it has announced his intention to switch the messaging systems to a more secure format to alleviate that issue.
In other words, a fix for that insecurity is in the works and will likely becoming sometime soon as the dev considers it a top priority.

@kara_dreamer@witches.town @green Yeah. This has been a huge problem for me lately.
I know my memory has been manipulated by others enough that I don't really trust it anymore, and I think that's a large part of why I'm having so much trouble with identity right now.
