I think I just figured out one of the succinct differences between a terrible boss and a great boss.

A great boss knows when to be lazy. A terrible boss thinks downtime is an opportunity to micromanage their employees to death.

There's now 4 separate companies each with 3 people each working with me just to process and complete the paperwork and handle the money for me to buy this house.

It seems like buying a house shouldn't need to be functionally different from buying a car.
