@SoniEx2 hyperlink is a name, we have a search

making me guess which part you didn't get comes off as rude, as well as replies that are basically a "?"

@zoe honestly there's a ton of overhead to be saved on a single-user instance, since public timelines are basically useless on there

@SoniEx2 I'm just gonna go ahead and stop answering these because I never have any idea which part you didn't understand and it's also kinda rude

@zoe definitely true, maybe not-caching should turn on with the single-user switch

@zoe a small instance would be hugged to death by hundreds of users loading the images instead of tens of instances

@zoe also honestly I see no issue with linking to the original instance until it's cached

I kinda feel like Mastodon shouldn't break completely just because media uploads are failing

I swear the only times when there's actual trends going on it is hyperlink's fault

@Zeny@snouts.online though you should be able to reactivate it with the key you used for the Windows 10 installation (which should include keys for 7 and 8), you might have to call Microsoft though

@Zeny@snouts.online it will do exactly that, as the hardware fingerprint changes

@tom sleep tite, don't let the game bugs bite

@monorail if you have the spare performance you can try giving it more threads

@grainloom @aza_leah I just realized those probably aren't pie crusts :ms_facepalm:

@grainloom @aza_leah wait, hrt doesn't turn you into stacks of pie crusts?

oh sweet, Firefox can generate secure passwords (and will automatically save them once generated) now

re: android mod and rom question

@xenon hm, I'm just reading that carrier-free Samsung phones might come with the bootloader already unlocked? that sounds weird because it's basically a security risk, but also Samsung phones work a little different than the phones I've worked which (they use Odin, not fastboot)

re: android mod and rom question

@xenon also I just realized that unlocking the bootloader already trips safetynet (and the only way of basically faking it that I know of is to install Magisk, that doesn't seem to be an option on the S10+)

re: android mod and rom question

@xenon sounds like you can root but you'll trip Safetynet which will make a bunch of apps, especially stuff like banking apps or Nintendo games not run at all (because they know you rooted). I wouldn't really recommend it.
